Thanks to a collaboration between Chris Bennett (Croydon Archives), Peter Juniper (OCA), John Horton (Photogenics of West Wickham) and numerous OCA Members from both Schools, we are now able to offer full-size downloads of the panoramic (whole-school) photographs covering many of school-years.
 We don't yet have a COMPLETE set of ALL the photographs and a few are in a poor condition. If you can help, we would love to hear from you! |

| We’re grateful to Colin Marsh (1959-1966) for unearthing this photograph of the play ‘The Rehearsal’, dated c1961/62. It illustrates an alternative to the annual school play. ‘Alternative’, because the annual school play was normally based on a ‘set book’. This picture was also supplied by Denis Candy on 14 October 2006 and can be seen on the same page |

After the installation of the new War
Memorial in the Hall
Foyer (last year), the second Annual Service
took place at 10.30 am. to which six members of the Association
were invited by the Head Teacher. A short, but very moving Service
was held at which a number of pupils and teachers took part
ably conducted again by Mrs Joan Pickering, M.A. At 11 a.m.
the customary
two minute silence was observed; guests and pupils then laid
poppy crosses in front of both war memorials. The party then
adjourned
to the reception area where the pupils offered refreshments
and we discussed our school days with each other. The Chairman
thanked
the Head Teacher for her kind Invitation to this Service and
for the manner in which her staff and pupils had received us
once
again. This annual event is a very useful means of continuing
our links with the school. Our representatives today were Isabel
MacLeod, Pauline Sinclair, Doreen Juniper, Derek
Mauri, Peter

1970. Lots of smiling faces as well as the obligatory 'poke
your tongue out at the camera' role. No signs of any boy
running from one end to the other in order to appear twice
though! 
The photograph is very large and has been helpfully split into six separate

Roll of Honour 1914-18 |

Commissioned in 1920, to commemorate
the ex puplis who fought in the Great War, it was
pinned behind the Assembly platform in the Boys' school until
1988 when the Grammar school finished.

1973.
