These are provided by a combined effort of myself and John Hibbard. Myself Hibbard and Woodward all attended the reunion a few years ago; Darbishire has been in contact with some of us. The back two rows are all members of the "Lower sixth" form. The front row is composed of members of the "Upper sixth form"

Sent to us by Jeff Farrance (1939-1947). Can anyone confirm the date? Let us know here
John Wallis (1945-1947) contacted us on 19 August 2006 suggesting that the yaar is more likely to be 1948 or 1949
Update: March 2008, Leslie Olive comments
He joined the school in 1939 with John Ashe and me from the South Norwood School.
I asume, prerhaps incorrectly that the photos are for the school year 1947/48 as we
have 1947 next sent in by Maurice Isaac.
This photo cannot be later than 46/47 as by then he would have had 3 years in the 6th.
As would have had Peter Tong 1st right and Alex Robb 4th right. Jeffery is 5th left. |

Rear 6 left Cliff Gould, extreme right Peter Tong.
Front 3 left Denis Peach,4 left Maurice Isaac, 4 right Alex Robb.
They were all in the 5W with John, Jeffery and me.
In the Member List Maurice ia shewn as at the school 1939/46. Perhaps the first photo is 1947 and the second should be 1946 |
