Dean Maisey (1978-1982, Beta) sent us this photograph of Handel Kardas, who taught Geography. In Dean's words: "I think it captures his personality perfectly. The photo, we think, was taken at Carreg Cennen Castle and we're pretty sure it was on a walking trip to Heol Senni in August 1982."

Teaching Staff c 1936. Malcolm Stringer (1968-1975, Beta) provided us with this excellent scan (front and back) of the teachers at the Boys School c1936. Malcolm found it in his father's (John F E Stringer 1933-37) photo-box.

Taken by the Croydon Times, this shows a photograph of the Assembly Staff in 1946

5 May 2009. Thanks to some detective work by Roger Cox. We can now date ythis photographs as have been taken in SUmmer 1946 (not 1945 as precviously thought). The rationale is as follows: Messrs Egford, Harrison, Holland and
Ridgewell all joined the school in April or June 1946. Dr. Westgate left at the end of the 1946 summer term, and Mrs McLean left in June 1946,
